Epecuén Film & Documentary
02.06.14
We were delighted to work on this inspiring project with
Red Bull Media House & trials biker
Danny MacAskill for Danny's new film which takes him to the abandoned Argentine village of Epecuén.
If you're not familiar with Danny's previous three films directed by long time collaborator, Dave Sowerby, they are
April 2009,
Way Back Home &
Imaginate which between them have amassed an overwhelming 95 million views and are the most popular films on the
Red Bull YouTube Channel.
Epecuén is perhaps MacAskill’s most stunning film yet. The empty village provides a haunting backdrop, and the decaying skeletons of old buildings allow him to pull off an array of creative and innovative stunts.
In a tweet, Danny called Epecuén “definitely the most amazing place I have ever ridden!”
Our collaboration with Red Bull included music composition for the
trailer created by our friend and amazing film composer,
Tim Atack. As well as soundtracking the film which you can watch below and also a
documentary and various pieces of
behind the scenes promotional content.
Danny and the director, Dave Sowerby have exquisite taste in music and use it to great effect in all their films. For this film we worked with
Imagem,
PIAS &
Talking Shop Records to use the amazing
Farewell J.R - Night Wolves &
The Jezabels - Long Highway.
We also worked with
Mute Song,
Music Sales Film & TV,
Budde Music, PIAS and Talking Shop to use
Farewell J.R,
Apparat &
The Irrepressibles for the
documentary.
